Assignments

Assignments are challenges issued to players of The Division. They are unlocked once the player reaches level 30.

Completing an assignment is not required, however, there are rewards for completing assignments. There are 4 daily assignments that reset each day at Midnight GMT/19:00EST/16:00PST. They are divided between combat assignments, crafting assignments, Dark Zone assignments, and as of patch 1.5, Survival assignments.

In addition to daily assignments, there is also 2 weekly assignments that reset every Tuesday at Midnight GMT/19:00EST/16:00PST.

A new type of Assignment, West Side Pier assignments, are frequently resetting challenges linked to the newly added WSP area.

Daily Assignment categories and rewards [ ]

There are 4 daily assignment categories, as previously stated.

Combat assignments revolve around dealing with enemies in any setting (except Survival mode), for example killing enemies with explosives or skills. The reward for completing this assignment is a single item cache with 10-12 Phoenix Credits awarded.

Crafting assignments deal with the crafting system, for example, constructing or deconstructing items of a specific rarity or higher. The reward for this assignment is a one item cache that includes no Phoenix Credits, but instead High-End crafting materials, including High-End Division Tech.

Dark Zone assignments revolve around doing actions inside the Dark Zone, for example extracting items or killing enemies inside the Dark Zone. The reward for this assignment is a one item cache that includes a random amount of DZ Funds.

The Survival assignment is, as of this pages creation, always the same assignment; Successfully extract from a Survival game. The reward for this assignment is a two item cache with no other currency awarded.

As of Update 1.8.1, each daily assignment cache now awards, in addition to previous rewards, 25 Division Tech.

Weekly Assignments and rewards [ ]

Along with the 4 daily assignments, there are 2 weekly assignments for players to complete.

One of those weekly assignments is completing a larger set of three of the 4 daily assignments, those 3 being the combat, Dark Zone and crafting assignments. The fourth part of the assignment is always completing 10 of the main story missions on any difficulty. The reward for this is a 3 item cache along with 30 Phoenix Credits inside the cache. It should be noted that there is a guaranteed Exotic item inside this cache, so it is worth completing if the player is after any Exotic item, be it a weapon or armor piece.

The other weekly assignment is a Survival cache that is always the same assignment; Score 20,000 points across all Survival games played (this includes matches that aren't successfully finished). The reward is a 2 item cache.

Each weekly assignment now also awards 100 Division Tech, per Update 1.8.1.

ISAC Assignment [ ]

On March 9, 2017, the day following The Divisions One Year Anniversary, a new Assignment appeared; the ISAC Assignment. This assignment seems tied to the ISAC storyline that ran earlier in The Divisions life cycle, as it references characters from the online shorts released by Massive. The ISAC assignment requires the player to eliminate a named enemy. The reward is 3 High-End Division Tech materials, and two Vanity items. This is a weekly assignment, however the reset is on Thursdays at Midnight GMT/17:00EST.

West Side Pier Assignments [ ]

Added in with the new West Side Pier area of the map, the WSP assignment is an odd one out when it comes to assignments up to Update 1.8: Resistance. These assignments are much more time sensitive (these reset every 15 minutes as opposed to daily or weekly). These assignments seem to be randomized whenever the player loads into a session. The challenge ranges from explosive kills, to kills inside or outside a certain range, to just getting kills overall. The reward is the WSP cache, which contains 2 items, as well as a single High-End Division Tech, which is important, given the also-new Optimization Station.
